Apparently premade_ljs is having some kind of bandwidth problem. This is where I got my layout, so in order to keep my journal from looking crazy, I changed it. I doubt the problem is going to be fixed, since the community hasn't updated in months. Unfortunately, it's also where I got the layout for dn_contest, which uses a header. I'm not at all confident in my ability to change the layout without fucking up the header. So if anyone namely reka, who has my log-in information would like to help me, that'd be great.

In other, way more important news, we just found out that my mother does not in fact have fibromyalgia. She doesn't have multiple sclerosis, either, which was the thing we were fearing the most. What she does have is spinal osteoarthritis. This is what's been causing her so much horrible nerve pain. This is good because it means that there's a solution--surgery. It's bad because said surgery is extremely risky and could possibly leave her paralyzed or dead. Neither of which are particularly good options, if you ask me. She isn't sure yet if she's going to get the surgery, because of the risk. Which makes sense, it's good to think about these things and do the research. Personally, I think it's better that she do something about it--she can hardly take the pain she's in now, and it's only going to get worse if she doesn't take action. Still, the risks aren't pretty, so maybe I don't actually know. Anyway, at least we (presumably) know what we're dealing with now.

In other, way less important news, I found an interesting thing at a nearby shop. There's a store nearby that sells various Mexican products, and I've bought quite a bit of cinnamon-flavored hot chocolate from there. A few days ago I found a rice pudding flavored ice cream bar. It had raisins in it, and basically tasted just like frozen rice pudding. It was delicious, and I need more of them. I also need to buy shampoo and other necessities for school, but that seems less important at the moment than satisfying my stupid cravings.

Okay, ... that sets up the day. I was working on projects last night and all were going well, and they still look pretty good in the morning! Not many times you can say that. If I can, I'll post a lovely G Angeal and Zack Final Fantasy Fanart, and maybe get some writing done ...

Hee! First I found a new copy of Sega Superstars Tennis for Wii in Woolworth's for a tenner, then I get 42 songs on itues for 17 quid~ I AM VERY HAPPY ABOUT THIS.

...I basically bought a load of Emilie Autumn ^^; I'm addicted. Her music is so gorgeous. Especially her instrumentals; and I don't normally do instrumentals. And her lyrics, too- gothic without getting into BAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWW WOE IS ME territory. She's really funny, in a black way. Especially 'Thank God I'm Pretty'. It's partially how she sings it- all serious and sincere but ironic. ♥

...Gothic Lolita is depressing though ;_; Geez. XD;;

For those who reside in Canada, tickets go on sale for the first movie now. The movie will premiere September 15th.

Those who reside in the US, the list for the theater release for The Last Name is here. (It's an Excel file with the list of towns and states; remember the listing is tenative)

  DN: TLN will be in select theaters on Oct 15th and 16th @ 7:30pm, Tickets aren't on sale yet, but it's highly suggested that you purchase it when they are available.

As for the Death Note movie DVD, street date is September 16th. And already available for preordering. ^__^

First off, what's the difference between this community and death_eyes? I noticed that these are the most prominent Death Note communities, I was just wondering if there were any notable differences in the fandom and types of discussions.

And finally...my thoughts on the differences between the finale of the manga and the anime...hidden under a cut just to be safe.


On a final note, has anyone made any Death Note mood themes? 

Has someone already seen it? Are there new scenes? Does someone know ANYTHING?!
